Toewalker's back

Our friend Jeffrey, aka Toewalker, took a hiatus after the Archbishop of Canterbury said some particularly cloddish things. He's back, now, thanks to his true grit and the prayers of his friends.

Go take a look at this posting by his partner, R. at Musings of a Toe-walker. It's a gutsy and illuminating piece.

I marvel at the strength and courage of some of the saints.

P.S. I can't make the link work. Just go look at "A Boy and His Church."

To fix the link remove the slash after ".html".

It's a beautiful piece, Pat.

I guess I can answer his question, at least as far as I am concerned, and the Diocese of Central Florida is concerned.

No, I will never be welcome here. In other dioceses, maybe. I'm going to start attending church in a different diocese -- also conservative, but not one that is constantly scheming to undermine and destroy the churches and dioceses that do welcome that boy -- and me.

Paul, thanks for the tip!

Charlotte, it makes me angry that you should have to feel that way in this diocese. That's nothing of Christ, that exclusion. It's that sense of never-gonna-be welcomed that sent Toewalker off for a while.

I don't know of any way to fix it, in the short term. It's one of the things that make me wonder if a split is invevitable, and even preferable. Then, perhaps, we can have a real Episcopal Church here.

Thank you all, especially you, Pat, for the kind words. Rest assured that Toewalker is back and more feisty than ever.

I'm not blogging much these days, but that's because I'm the site admin for The Episcopal Majority now. :-)
